Carl has been a professional international theatre, film and TV actor for over thirty years. Career highlights include playing John Grey in the critically acclaimed play ‘Hidden Face’; Hamlet at the Liverpool Unity theatre, and Rory Storm in the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre production and national tour of ‘Beautiful Dreamer: The King of Liverpool’.

Carl also writes and directs and in 2004, he wrote, directed and performed in The Retribution a musical based on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel ‘The Scarlet Letter’ at The Floral Pavilion theatre and The Gladstone Theatre, both on the Wirral.

More recently, Carl has moved deeper into film. Notable credits include playing Henry in the feature film ‘Self Same Sky’. 2015 saw Carl filming in India – portraying the protagonist Sir John Cavendish in the Bollywood epic Jaanisaar, directed by award winning director Muzaffar Ali. His film credits continue to grow with many projects already lined up in the US for 2016/17.

Carl’s skills include: singing, horse-riding, aerobics, animal handling, climbing, ski-ing and dance (ballet, tap, modern and ballroom). Carl is also a qualified teacher of both dance and drama and a former body-builder.
